Terms of Booking Classes

Payment for Classes

You must make payment for your class place(s) by Credit Card (PayPal) immediately upon registration. Your place can be held for you as long as you contact us to advise, otherwise we will release it back into the available pool for registration.

Non Attendance / Illness or Exceptional Circumstances

We do not give full or part refunds for class bookings or class gift vouchers in the case of non attendance.
Non attendance is taken very seriously at Cupcake Treats as there is always a long waiting list for our classes and someone who has been waiting could have taken your place.
If you have exceptional circumstances that prevent you from attending a class you have booked in for and you have advised us of this before the class, at our discretion we will transfer class payment as a credit and move you into the next available class that suits your schedule.

In the case of vouchers/credits and need for you to reschedule due to exceptional circumstances, you will be permitted to hold the credit over to another class for a single booking. On the second booking if you withdraw from the class and we are unable to fill your place the credit/voucher amount will be forfeited.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

On very rare occasions where it is beyond our control there may be a situation were we must cancel or reschedule a class. These may be due to the venue being unavailable (which has happened before), very low registration numbers, or very exceptional circumstances where the instructor cannot attend. If we have to cancel a class we will give as much notice as possible and offer a full refund, or offer you a credit to move into another class. If the class is rescheduled, you are offered a place in the class or a credit valid for six months.

Vouchers

We are happy to issue a remaining credit for partly used class vouchers. We do not issue refunds for part used or unused vouchers that have expired.
Vouchers must be used by the expiry date written on the voucher. It is not our responsibility to ensure you book into a class before the expiry date with your voucher. We do not honour them after the expiry date as you are already given a large amount of time to use your class voucher, during which time there are dozens of classes scheduled throughout the year.
Class bookings with Cupcake Treats are often competitive and book out quickly, which is why we always advise that you sign up to the newsletter and sign up for a class as soon as you receive the newsletter. They are sent every two to three months. We keep a database of all vouchers issued and check your name against the voucher list when booking.
We do not put students on shortlists as in the past many students on the shortlist have not responded at all causing scheduling delays trying to fit others on the shortlist into the class.

Substitutions

If you are unable to attend or would like to switch your place with someone else, you are welcome to send them in your place as long as we are made aware of the change.

Reproduction

With every class you are issued a booklet that covers all of the class content. Under no circumstances is this booklet or any class notes to be reproduced or distributed. This is copyrighted content designed for personal home use only and is distributed only to the student(s) that paid for the class place.

Photography

You are more than welcome to take photos of the course and your creations. We do not allow under any circumstances video or audio recording of the class.

Refund Policy

We offer refunds in line with ACCC requirements for physical merchandise and will offer a full refund, credit, or exchange if the item is faulty, not as described, or unfit for a purpose we have specified it is suitable for. We offer no refunds for change of mind or for food products once orders are confirmed as we allocate ingredients and labour prior to the delivery date.
